Olixar cases confirm iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus designs

We’ve heard for some time now that the next iPhone will have three big new features. Controversially, the 3.5mm port will be removed in favour of Lightning and Bluetooth headphones. The Plus model will differentiate itself with a dual rear-facing camera, unlocking new photographic possibilities and ensuring better-looking results. The larger iPhone will also include a version of the iPad Pro’s Smart Connector, allowing peripherals to be connected without covering the Lightning port — a necessity now that Lightning headphones are the go-to choice for new iPhone owners.

Now, we’re starting to see cases and covers built with these traits in mind. Case maker Olixar is the latest to provide renders showing the new iPhone models, including a lack of 3.5mm jack on the bottom and the dual rear-facing cameras and Smart Connector on the 5.5-inch model. And here is the FlexiShield case for the iPhone 7 Plus, which shows the dual camera system and the Smart Connector on the back of the phone. This connector is designed to better allow accessories to be connected, including keyboard covers, extended battery packs and the like.

These cases have already been reported on by PhoneArena, Forbes, SlashGear and others. Most authors put a large degree of confidence in the cases, and it seems likely that we’ll see a matching iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus come September. In the meantime, we’ll continue to bring you the latest leaks and releases as we receive them, and you can already place a pre-order for these FlexiShield cases.

  1. I think that phone accessories especially cases are so important especially with top end phones like the iPhone. Therefore it is important the case manufacturers are constantly on top of their game. Good job by Olixar.
