The Best Slimline Samsung Galaxy S2 Cases

In this article, we’ll be looking for that most elusive beast – the thinnest of the Samsung Galaxy S2 cases, which provide protection in the smallest, skimpiest possible form. Let’s rock on.

QDOS Titanium Case

The next case is the stylish QDOS Titanium. Sadly it isn’t actually made of Titanium, but it does feature extremely rugged plastic that will protect your phone from scratches and drops. The back has a eye-catching brushed metal look, while the sides have been dimpled to make your phone easier to grip. The QDOS is also just 2mm thick, making it barely increase the size of your already slim Samsung Galaxy S2. The front of the phone is also left free, meaning that you’ll likely want to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Sii Screen Protector to protect against frontal scratches.

All in all, QDOS’ Titanium Case is one of the most solid-looking yet thin cases I’ve seen, boasting excellent back-and-sides protection and a very cool look. You can also get a Steel variant of this case, providing the same protection with an even more rugged-looking back.

Sena UltraSlim Pouch

As we’ve covered in our top fashionable cases story, the Sena UltraSlim Pouch is a new design by California’s Sena Cases. This high end leather case, made specifically for the Galaxy S2, looks great with extremely slim leather in four colours (white, black, tan, and an extremely gorgeous red). It’s a Samsung Galaxy S2 pouch design, meaning that you’ll have to take your phone out of the case in order to use it. While this is slightly inconvenient, it means that there are no bulky flaps or fastenings to get in the way, and as a result the UltraSlim is a dramatically slim case, barely bigger than the Galaxy S2 itself.

The high quality leather used on the outside will provide protection from scratches and accidental drops, whilst the inner velvet lining cushions your phone and even gently brushes it each time you take it in or out of the case. The UltraSlim is an extremely slim and fashionable case, and deserves top plaudits for achieving such a deliciously well fitting design.

Case-Mate Barely There

Top manufacturer Case-Mate’s slimline effort is called ‘Barely There’. As you might expect, this case sacrifices the more advanced protective features of other, bulkier cases for a mind-numbingly slim and light design. The Barely There uses a thin, impact-resistant flexible plastic shell to protect your phone from scratches and scrapes. The minimal case covers the back and corners of the S2, only increasing the size of the phone where it is really necessary.

This efficient, space-saving design lends a modern look to the phone, and a massive selection of eight colours (including premium options such as black or silver brushed aluminium) means that you can show off your own style.

It’s not rare that a Samsung Galaxy S2 case lives up to its name, but in the case of the Barely There you don’t really need to say much else!

Flexishield Skin

The Flexishield Skin is actually a full body screen protector, offering the smallest-possible case that still provides the level of scratch protection that you need. The skin, which is available in an bevvy of colours, has cutouts in all the right places and has a simple, unadorned look that will please minimalists. The skin is also coated to prevent slippage.

Where other cases have logos and advanced features no one will use, the Flexishield Skin provides the minimum of protection in the minimum of space. Excellent.

Slimline Carbon Fibre

This Slimline Carbon Fibre case, made exlusively for Mobile Fun, gives a luxurious look and feel through a thin and trim design backed with a stylish carbon fibre effect. This case is a flip format, meaning that you’re able to easily access your phone when you need it, but when it’s in your pocket you’ll receive of its Samsung Galaxy S2 cover. Inside, there are two parts to the protection provided. The first is a microfibre cloth mounted opposite the screen that will clean and protect whilst the case is closed. The second is the soft rubber of the back and sides of the case, which deaden impacts and provide excellent scratch resistance.

The Slimline Carbon Fibre Style Flip Case is a Mobile Fun exclusive, offering good protection at an unbeatable price.
