Top 10 Accessories for the Nokia 6303

The Nokia 6303 is a great little phone that is perfect for those that want a simple, no frills handset and if you’ve been using a Nokia 3110, 6230i or 6300 for the past few years then this should almost certainly be your next handset. The 6303 Classic is available in Black and Matt Silver. To keep your handset looking its best and to really make the most of all of its features there are a number of accessories you can treat yourself to, but with such a wide range of accessories such as Cases, Chargers and Car Kits available, choosing the right ones for you can be a bit of a minefield.

1. Krusell Classic Case for the Nokia 6303

The Krusell Classic case for the Nokia 6303 is a phone specific case that allows you to use the phone without removing it from the case. There is no chance of your phone falling out of the case either, as the case is closed with a zip. The full plastic cover makes this case ideal for those working in dirty/dusty environments. The rear of the case has a fold down cover that protects the camera lens from dirt and scratches and a Multidapt clip that allows you to attach different mounting clips. 2. Martin Fields Screen Protector – Nokia 6303

The last thing you’re going to want to do the the screen of your new phone is scratch it. Martin Fields are the best quality screen protector you can get for your phone. They’re precision cut to size and can be removed easily and leave no residue behind. They’re re-usable too, so if it ever gets dirty, just take it off, run it under the tap and re-fit it. The twin pack is the better buy as it’s just £2 more than buying one.

3. Nokia DC-4 Car Charger

Keeping your phone charged on the move is easy with the Nokia DC-4 Car Charger. It features a tangle proof cable, LED indicator and will stop charging your phone once the battery is full. The DC-4 Car Charger will work in Cars, Vans and Trucks (12v & 24v).

4. MicroSD HC 4GB Memory Card

Using a 4GB Memory Card will allow you to store even more music, games, photos and videos on your Nokia 6303. Images taken using the 3MP Camera will take up more space than they would have done on the 3110 or 6300, so more memory is a must. A 4GB memory card will let you store over 2200 high quality photos, 750 songs or 20 hours of video. A 4GB card is the largest memory card that the Nokia 6303 will officially support.

5. Nokia CA-101 Micro USB Data Cable

The Nokia 6303 does come with a data cable, but for some bizarre reason it’s ridiculously short and is only about 6 inches long. While this might be great if you use a laptop with USB ports on the side, if you use a PC or your USB ports are at the back of your laptop it’s going to make connecting your phone extremely difficult. The Nokia CA-101 data cable is the same as the one that came with your phone, but is around 3 feet long.

6. Jabra BT530 Bluetooth Headset

The BT-530 is a fantastic Bluetooth Headset from Jabra that packs in a lot of features. As well as having 2 noise cancelling microphones, the Jabra BT530 has intelligent volume controls that will automatically increase the volume when you enter a noisy environment and support for multipoint – this allows you to use the headset with two mobile phones at the same time (Read our post on ‘What is Multipoint‘).

7. Nokia Bluetooth GPS Receiver LD-4W

One of the more advanced features on the Nokia 6303 is that it can be used as a Sat Nav device and comes with Nokia Maps pre-installed – all you need to make the most of it is a Bluetooth GPS receiver so that your phone knows where you are. The LD-4W is designed to work perfectly with the Nokia 6303. It has a long life battery and uses the same charger as your phone. Nokia Maps is free to use for route planning and basic navigation, but for full turn by turn voice navigation you’ll need to purchase a UK Drive and Walk License. The license is available from us for around £40, purchasing the same license through your phone will set you back over £60.

8. Nokia HF-310 Bluetooth Car Kit

Nokia have always produced fantastic fitted car kits but their plug & play car kits have been good, but not really anything to shout about. The Nokia HF-310 changes all that.  It’s a lightweight, compact Bluetooth Car Kit that can be used in the car, at home or in the office. It’s incredibly easy to use, with just one button to answer and end calls, activate voice dialling or redial the last number you called. 9. Brodit Passive Holder With Tilt Swivel – Nokia 6303 Classic

These are phone-specific cradles that will hold your 6303 securely in the car and have cut outs that allow you to charge your phone while it’s in the holder. They are made from a strong ABS plastic and are designed to be screwed onto your dashboard, although if you don’t fancy doing this you can use a Brodit ProClip. These are secure mounting pads that clip on to your dashboard and can be removed without causing any damage to your vehicle. ProClips provide an ideal base for fixing a Brodit holder on to.

10. Nokia CK-100 Fully Fitted Bluetooth Car Kit

The Nokia CK-100 is the replacement for the aging Nokia CK-7, and at first glance isn’t that different, but if you look closer, there are a few big additions to the CK-100. The most noticeable is that it supports music playback as well as calls so now you can stream your MP3’s from your phone through your car speakers in stereo without having to buy any additional cables. Installation is now quicker and easier too.
