Lenovo Tech World is kicking off in about two weeks, where the Chinese company are expected to announce a pair of new Motorola flagships. As we reported earlier, these flagships are expected to be called the Moto Z instead of the Moto X, and they’ll feature modular backplates called MotoMods. Of course, this being the internet, photos of both the phones and the mods have leaked ahead of schedule by Evan Blass of Venture Beat. Take a look!

Last week we reported that Lenovmotox16-930x636o is working on two new Moto X smartphones, codenamed Vertex and Vector Thin. Today, we have a new report from Evan Blass of Venture Beat, which suggests that the company will drop the Moto X name in favour of a new letter: Moto Z.

From early prototypes like Google’s Project Ara to more mainstream options like LG’s G5, there seems to be a growing trend towards phones that you can take apart and reassemble with new hardware and features.
