How to get the Huawei P20 Pro Twilight in the UK

The P20 Pro is now available in the UK… but for some reason, the best colour option isn’t being sold in the UK. Instead, you get the choice of black or blue. If you’ve seen this phone being advertised online, you’ll probably be familiar with a different shade: the pearlescent Twilight version of the phone, as shown above. Thankfully, even though the Twilight model isn’t available from the big retailers, it is possible to get this colour scheme a different way. Let’s take a look!

1. Import the phone from Europe

The easiest option is to order the phone from a European retailer. For some reason, it’s quite possible to go to the website of the biggest retailers in France or Germany and order a P20 Pro for delivery to the UK. You’ll need to pick up a UK USB mains adapter and the initial instructions might be in a language you don’t understand, but the phone itself can be set to English and it will work just fine on UK networks — we aren’t so different from the mainlanders when it comes to 4G connectivity! Remember that when ordering from another country, it may be difficult to get your phone repaired under warranty — so protecting your phone with a case and other P20 Pro accessories is a must!

2. Pick up a colourful case for your black or blue P20 Pro

Another option is to just order a standard P20 Pro and get a P20 Pro case that makes it the colour you want. For example, you could pick up one of Huawei’s official P20 Pro cases, like the Color Case that turns your phone into a beautiful shade of blue or pink. The Twilight colour scheme sadly isn’t represented here just yet, but we’re hoping to get on this soon! In the meantime, you can keep your P20 Pro fully protected so it can retain its value, and then swap it for a Twilight model if and when it becomes available in the UK. Speaking of which…

3. Wait until the Twilight version is available in the UK

According to customers who have questioned Huawei on social media, the Twilight P20 Pro colour may become available in the UK later this year. Here’s what one response posted by /u/cyphnar on the Huawei subreddit:

In response to your query, please note that the P20 in Pink will be available at Carphone Warehouse and the P20 Pro in Twilight might become available starting with May, we are still awaiting official confirmation on that.

If you’re willing to wait it out, then you might be able to snag a unique colour that early adopters won’t be able to find easily. Of course, with no official confirmation, you might be left waiting for a while!
