Incipio Ghost 15W high-speed Qi charger available soon

Incipio Ghost 15W Qi Fast Wireless Charging Pad - Black

Wireless charging is tidy and convenient, but it’s not always the fastest way to charge your phone. First generation Qi wireless chargers operated at 5W, resulting in sub-par charging times compared to traditional wired methods. Now, we’re happy to introduce one of the first second-generation charging pads, the Incipio Ghost, which solves that problem.

The Incipio Ghost provides 15W of power, exactly triple the amount provided by earlier chargers. That translates into three times faster charging, thanks to the use of the WPC Qi version 1.1 specification. It’s a massive increase, and should make wireless charging much more viable — in fact, it’s as fast as Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0!

The faster speed charging is only available on phones, tablets and other devices that support the new faster speeds — including the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. However, the charger is also backwards compatible with 5W and 7W chargers, ensuring older phones will still be charged at their maximum speed.

The Ghost is a strong wireless charger in other ways, too. The slim design is lovingly rendered in grey and silver with cyan accents, providing a stylish and futuristic look. The charger includes an LED to ensure that you can see when wireless charging is ongoing, and the charger will automatically shut itself off when it’s done charging your phone.

The Ghost is a brilliant little charger, and should be a great fit for the Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and other new phones to support the 15W Qi standard. Considering that Samsung’s own wireless chargers don’t support 15W charging, you’d be remiss not to pick up a Ghost!
