First Nexus 5X cases from Verus coming soon

Earlier today we launched the first Nexus 6P cases from Verus, the High Pro Shield, and now we’d like to return and do the same for the Nexus 5X. If you’ve already read the 6P article then there won’t be too much new here, so you might want to skip directly to the product page. For everyone else, let’s get started!

The High Pro Shield is a strong and stylish Nexus 5X case, boasting a two-tone look and dual material construction. That means a polycarbonate hard case as the first layer of defense, wrapped around a TPU soft cover to provide a convincing barrier against drops and scratches. The Nexus 5X will be well-protected by this combination, which is also more efficient than using one material alone.

There are several other small design touches that also improve the case’s protective ability and set it apart from others on the market. One is the air pockets that lie in each corner, providing a small but significant effect on your phone’s survivability in the event of a drop onto the corner. The case also includes a 1.3mm lip around the phone’s screen, which helps to prevent scratches and direct impacts. All in all, it’s a very convincing package.
