Like other VR headsets, the Archos VR uses your smartphone’s display and a pair of lenses to provide a compelling 3D experience. Accelerometers in your phone work with VR apps to adjust your viewpoint as your head moves, giving a natural way to explore virtual worlds. The Archos VR Glasses use a unique open-ended design, with adjustable supports that can work with the vast majority of high-end phones on the market.
There are a huge range of VR apps already available for the Archos, including 3D games, VR street view and full 3D stereoscopic movies. These are available on iOS and Android, with a smaller subset of apps on Windows Phone.
The lightweight design is easy to wear and fully portable. As your mobile provides the horsepower needed , you’re able to experience VR without any wires or a connection to a PC. That means you can watch films and play games on public transport, outside or in any room at home or work.
