A Moto X video advertisement from Canadian telecoms company Rogers has been leaked. The YouTube video went live yesterday:

The video gives more details about the Moto X. One of the most important features presented is the smartphone’s ‘always on’ feature. In short, the new Motorola handset is always listening so you can ask for directions, set up a calendar event or set an alarm for tomorrow morning without having to touch the phone. This is the same feature as present on Google Glass and this is all done with the power of Google Now.
Siri, the famous iOS ‘personal assistant’, has been left behind. iOS users need to tap the home screen button of their device in order to active Siri and its listening function which makes for a less than handsfree experience. Nevertheless it is likely that Apple is already working on an update to provide an ‘always on’ capability.
A major concern is that this might be a battery draining feature; it will be interesting to see how Motorola and Google have circumvented this potential issue if at all.
The supposed Moto X smartphone featured in the leaked video is very similar in appearance to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
There is still no word in regards to Moto X’s hardware specs but the device looks almost identical to the Samsung Nexus phone so it is likely that it will feature upgraded Samsung and Google Nexus style specs.
