Massive Improvements

The most notable improvement to the BlackBerry 9900 Sim Free is the fact that Research In Motion have finally included a reasonably high resolution touch screen. This has long been a missing feature for the BlackBerry family, and it’s great to see RIM catch up.

Another is the upgraded internals, including that all-important faster processor. The new CPU is a 1.2GHz single core, so it won’t quite rival the latest dual core models from HTC and Samsung, but still provides the unlocked BlackBerry 9900 with much more horsepower than its predecessors. Beyond the CPU, the camera has also been improved and is capable of shooting in 720p HD.

The phone ties it all together with the upgraded BlackBerry OS7, which includes a raft of new features and optimisations.
