iPhone 4 Cases available now!

All New iPhone 4When I said last week that our inbox was overflowing with details of new iPhone 4 Cases I wasn’t joking! In the 10 days since Steve Jobs unveiled the all new iPhone 4 we’ve launched over 150 new iPhone 4 cases and there are still plenty more in the pipeline.

I’ve always found that I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to iPhone cases as there are just so many to choose from, so over the next few weeks I’ll be putting some guides together that run through some of the best case designs for iPhone 4 as well as writing some in-depth reviews on some of the more popular and interesting cases.

Our sneak peek at iPhone 4 cases last week gave you a heads up on some of the cases that we can expect from InvisibleShield, Belkin and iLuv, and listed below are 10 more cases that are already proving to be popular.

1. Cygnett Frost Matte Slim iPhone 4 Case

What I like most about the new iPhone is the bold, almost angular design. The iPhone 3G and 3GS looked good, but the curved edges were starting to look a bit dated. This case from Cygnett is a great form fitting case that retains the shape and sharp looks of the iPhone while protecting the back and sides fron knocks, scrapes and drops. Cut outs on the top and sides allow you to access all the buttons and ports without having to remove it from the case. Unlike some, the case is translucent and allows the Apple logo and phone name to show through. A screen protector and cleaning cloth are also included.

2. Marware Glide For iPhone 4

Leather cases are still a popular way to protect your phone, although their look has improved dramatically. They’re no longer ugly with a clear plastic window on the front and bulky belt clip on the back – instead most tend to be leather pockets that are made specifically for the phone. The Marware Glide is one of these newer, modern leather cases. It’s made from high quality leather with a stitched in Marware logo on the front of the case. What’s nice with this case is the pull tab. When you need to remove your phone from the case, simply unfasten the securing tab and pull it gently to raise your phone up. It’s much easier than some of the tight fitting cases and the microfibre lining cleans the screen every time the phone is inserted/removed.

3. Case-Mate Fuel Max Case – iPhone 4

We don’t know how well the battery will hold up on the iPhone 4, but if Steve Jobs is to be believed, you’ll get more talktime, music and video playback and more web browsing from a full charge – although stand by times remain the same. The Case Mate Fuel Max is one of two charging cases from Case-Mate. It’s a relatively slim polycarbonate case with a built in 2000 mAh battery that should more than double the capacity of your iPhone 4.

4. Belkin FastFit Armband – iPhone 4

With so many sports and health apps available on the App store, it’s easy to see why so many people use their iPhone to help them keep in shape. Working out, cycling or jogging with an iPhone in your pocket isn’t particularly comfortable so getting an armband case is a sensible solution. It wraps round your arm and is held firmly in place while you exercise. The FastFit Armband can be fitted quickly and easily using one hand and has a built in cable tidy that prevents your earphones from getting tangled up. It’s water resistant, so even if you get caught in the rain while you’re out jogging youcan happily leave the phone on your arm with no risk of it getting wet or damaged.

5. Apple iPhone 4 Bumper

Apple have only recently started to make cases for their products. First up was the iPad case and now we’re getting iPhone 4 Bumpers. These are rubber and plastic cases that cover up and protect the metal sides of the phone. This type of case makes sense ,as the front and back are now both made of glass and therefore are more prone to breaking if your drop the phone. The Bumpers have metal buttons built into them, preserving some of the look of iPhone 4 and keeping all buttons and ports accessible.

6. Cygnett Snaps Duo – iPhone 4

If you like the idea of the Apple Bumper, but don’t want to pay the premium prices that Apple charge, take a look at the Cygnett Snaps. Each pack includes 2 different coloured silicone frames and screen protectors for both the front and back of your iPhone 4. Although the style of them is slightly different to the Apple Bumpers, the protection they offer is the same. The only noticeable difference is that the buttons have cut outs, rather than buttons built into the bumper. Snaps Duo are currently available in Black & Blue, Yellow & Black, Gret & Black, Red & Black and Orange & Black. Full details will be available on these very soon.

7. Marware MicroShell For iPhone 4 – Clear

The MicroShell is an incredibly thin hard cover for iPhone 4. It’s just less than 1mm thick so it adds almost no bulk to your phone. It has cut outs for the camera and side keys. It’s available in a range of colours, but if you want to show your iPhone off, go for the clear one. It covers the back and sides of your phone so you’ll need to invest in an iPhone 4 screen protector if you want to prevent damage to the screen.

8. Case-Mate Barely There  For iPhone 4

Case-Mate are one of the most popular brands of case for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS and looking at their line up for iPhone 4, their popularity is set to continue. The iPhone 3GS Chrome Barely There case is our biggest selling iPhone case to date and we’re expecting their iPhone 4 cases to do just as well.  At the moment, it’s just the pink one that’s available to pre-order, with the chrome case due any day now. Just like the case for the iPhone 3GS, Barely There cases consist of two parts – a thin, polycarbonate back cover and a screen protector.

9. Case-Mate iPhone 4 Ivy Case

The Ivy case is a snap on back cover that also protects the stainless steel band that runs around the edges of the phone. A cut out on the back lets you use the camera and LED without having to remove your phone from the case. As with most cases, a screen protector is also included.

10. Cygnett Lavish Leather Case for iPhone 4

There aren’t that many flip cases available yet for iPhone 4, but this one from Cygnett stood out as it’s thin and angular and matches the new look of the iPhone. The high resolution screen isn’t obscured by the edges of the case and all buttons and ports are accessible, although you have to have the case open to charge or sync your phone. The case is made from a soft lambskin leather and includes a screen protector and microfibre cleaning cloth.
