According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, the second-generation Apple Watch will come with cellular connectivity. The upgrade will allow the Watch to access mobile networks and retrieve data without a paired iPhone being present, allowing the Watch to be used standalone. That’s great if your iPhone runs out of juice, or if you just don’t fancy taking your iPhone with you in the first place.
You can already install some Android apps on Chrome, via the Chrome Web Store or by converting them yourself with the ARC Welder, but there aren’t that many working apps available. That may change soon, as users on Reddit have reported that the Play Store will soon be accessible on Chrome OS.
