Easy sleep tracking from Samsung SleepSense

One of the coolest apps for the iPhone 3G was a sleep tracker. You ran the app, placed your phone on your bed while you slept, and it used the phone’s novel accelerometer to track how much you tossed and turned. It was a bit awkward to use – your phone had to be charging all night, the screen needed to be on and facing down – but the sleep graphs it produced were awesome looking (and occasionally informative). Seven years later, and Samsung are releasing the final form of sleep tracking: a sleep sensor that rests in your bed permanently, tracking your sleep patterns and delivering the results to your smartphone without requiring you to keep your phone in bed or a wearable on your person. This is Samsung SleepSense.

Olixar QuickTap iPhone 6S & iPhone 6S Plus tempered glass screen protectors available soon

At the tail end of last month we unveiled a new kind of screen protector, the Olixar Quicktap. The Quicktap combines the protection of a tempered glass screen protector with some novel functionality – the ability to tap buttons near the top of your screen without needing to stretch your hand. This is accomplished through active screen elements, which transmit the impact of your touch from the bottom of the phone (below the screen and to either side of the home button) to the top. Today, we’re announcing that the Quicktap screen protectors will also be available for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, Apple’s latest smartphones.

iPhone 6S & 6S Plus announced: new features, specs & more

It’s time for new iPhones. Apple unveiled the latest models at its press event tonight, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. As we’ve come to expect from Apple’s S releases, the new phones offer upgraded internals and new features, while keeping a similar design and dimensions as their predecessors. This time around, the headline upgrades are 3D Touch, the A9 chipset and upgraded cameras. Let’s take a closer look!
