The Apple Worldwide developers conference started on Monday 6th of June, and there has been a lot of new updates and upgrades that Apple have introduced. Many of these new features that were discussed in the WWDC event on Monday were pretty much expected by the rumour mill.
We wont keep you waiting for long and will give you an insight on just some of the upgrades and latest features announced by Apple.

The new iOS 16
Apple unveiled its latest and most expected iOS 16 at the WWDC event yesterday and went through what users can expect from it. This new update will bring a totally reconstructed and customised lock screen interface for Apple devices.
This update will allow you to add custom wallpapers to your devices display, change the date and times font and colour, which gives it a more personalised touch, as well as add a couple of other widgets for weather, activity rings, calendars and much more.

iOS 16 will show live activities that you’ll be able to pin to the screen and manage incoming notifications such as sports scores, and that too from your lock screen.
Other than just that, Apple will also be introducing hide-able notifications, so you’ll be able to hide those annoying notifications that you don’t really want to see. These notifications will appear at the bottom of your lock screen.
The big news, which did have a lot of people excited was the news of Apple making texts editable and unsendable, and we all love having this sort of feature. So now you’ll be able to edit or delete your messages whenever you need too.
If you’ve sent embarrassing texts to someone or sent something by mistake to a person you weren’t supposed to send it too, you wont need to worry as you’ll have this useful feature.
Another quite useful feature that Apple have added is the buy now pay later feature. The trend of buy now pay later apps has been quite popular and Apple has now decided to finally jump on the bandwagon.
This feature would be quite useful and Apple will make it, so that they don’t see your purchase, so that you can purchase without compromising on your privacy.
Safety Check feature
Apple also announced another small yet quite significant feature which is the safety check feature, this was created with people who go through abusive relationships, where the partners want control of the persons passwords etc. This feature would allow the user to remove all access that they have given to others.

If you use Car play you’ll be happy to know that Car play may soon bring Apples widgets to your car instrument cluster. It will allow you to replace your cars instrument cluster with Apples own.
With this you’ll be able to display speed, trip info, fuel, battery levels and more on your cars instrument cluster.

Upgrade on Watch OS
Apple announced that the latest Watch OS will come with a number of new health tracking features. These features range from new running metrics, atrial fibrillation tracking and medication reminders.
The Watch OS 9 will also have 4 new watch faces. The Apple fitness app which is only accessible to people owning the apple watch will now be accessible on all iPhone’s.

M2 Chip
Apple has announced the next Gen Z M2 chip. The new M2 chip will deliver an 18 percent performance upgrade when compared to the M1.
The redesigned Macbook Air is the first to feature the new M2 chip. The new Macbook air is less than a half an inch thick and will be available in 4 different colours, namely; silver, space grey, starlight, and midnight.
It also comes with a larger 13.6inch display and a thinner bezel with a small charger. The starting price of the latest Macbook Air will be $1,199.
The new 13 inch Macbook Pro also comes with the new M2 chip upgrade. This will have a upgrade of up to 24GB of RAM, 2TB storage and 20 hours of battery life, which is quite a lot. This Macbook pro will start at the price of $1,299.

Apple Passkeys replace passwords with your iPhone
Macos 13 Ventura will be adding support with something called the Apple Passkey in Safari. Usually you’d log in using your Apple password, however this will be replaced with an Apple passkey which will allow you to sign into various websites with just your iPhone or Mac.
Another really cool feature that Apple has introduced is the continuity camera, which will let your iPhone function as a webcam. You won’t need to be dependant on your Macs webcam when you need to have video meetings and calls.
The Macos 13 Ventura will give you the ability to use your iPhone as a webcam on your Mac, by attaching it using a specialised clip. This however will be coming out later on in the year, but it is something surely we’d look forward too.

These are just some of the great new upgrades and latest features that Apple has announced during the Apple Worldwide developers conference and you may see some more upgrades being announced soon.
