James Bond’s Phone Gadgets

With the release of the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, we thought it would be a great opportunity to go over some of the phone gadgets he has used over the years, plus what we know so far from this film. Below are some of Mobile Funs favourite.

Now I’ve never been a fan of the unrealistic gadget so I prefer the ones which you think could actually be real. This made the kid me think people really did have remote controlled BMWs and special cameras that could X-Ray you. Okay some are more believable than others but lets start with that BMW.

So this BMW appeared in Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 and although the car was a BMW 750i which is an incredibly nice car it’s actually the phone that interests me. It was an Ericsson which could summon and control the car but things didn’t stop there as the phone doubled as a stun gun and lock pick!

The next gadget on our list is another phone, this time the Sony Ericsson M600i used in Casino Royal, now this film was released in 2006, just 1 year before the original iPhone was announced. The phone was best known for the 3.2 megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and flash, considering the iPhone did not get flash until the iPhone 4 that is quite impressive.

Now while the phones have gotten a little less crazy and more just the normal phones you can buy from a shop, it has not stopped them being prominently used in the films. So in the latest film No Time To Die they are using a Nokia XR20, and although the phone will not drive a car, it seems pretty well received from reviews we have read. The phone is part of the Google One program meaning that it will be stock Android which means it will be smooth and not have loads of Apps pre installed, the phone is also designed to be tough so you can understand why it’s featured in James Bond.

If you’ve just picked up the Nokia XR20 then be sure to protect it with a case from Mobile Fun!

So there you go, some of James Bond’s phones over the years. Drop a comment down below with your favourite Bond gadget.
