The Olixar ExoShield is a great place to start your search for the ultimate iPhone X case. The ExoShield is inexpensive, yet has excellent protective credentials — it’ll keep your iPhone X safe in the case of a drop, knock or small fall. The case includes cutouts and covers for all of your bits and bobs, and adds minimum bulk to your iPhone X as well. At less than £10, you can’t go too far wrong with the ExoShield.
4. Moshi StealthCover Clear View Folio
The Moshi StealthCover is an interesting approach to the clear case conundrum, with a transparent flip cover that allows you to fully protect the screen while still allowing you to see the time, notifications and calls. A magnetic clasp keeps this protection in place, while a built-in stand allows you to watch videos in free moments. If you hate screen protectors but don’t want to suffer a nearly £300 screen repair fee, this is a great choice.
3. Rearth Ringke Air Clear Case
The Ringke Air Clear from Rearth is an awesome case thanks to its slim yet protective design. The case measures only 10.4 millimetres in thickness, so you’re adding almost nothing to the bulk of your iPhone X, yet you still get good protection from drops, knocks and scratches. The TPU material used is flexible yet durable, so it’s easy to install and remove the case as needed. Of course, with a full complement of apertures for buttons, cameras and other features, you won’t need to remove your case that often anyway.
2. Moshi Vitros Slim Case
Moshi’s Vitros is something of a novelty; a clear case that nonetheless manages to have a bold and eye-catching design. The Vitros achieves this through a coloured bumper, available in Crimson Red, Raven Black, Pink and Jet Silver, while leaving the back of the case transparent. The case is thin too, so it won’t make your iPhone X feel ungainly. This is a more premium option, but the unique look of the Vitros definitely makes a strong case for itself.
1. Griffin Survivor Clear Case
My favourite iPhone X case at the moment is the Griffin Survivor, a super-durable case that also comes in a stylish transparent colourway. The case is visibly more hardened against drops and knocks than the other cases we’ve looked at, with a raised lip around the screen that protects it from damage. It’s the only case on this list which meets US and UK military specifications for drop resistance, too. If you want an iPhone X case that will do its damndest to keep your iPhone X in perfect condition, this is what I’d choose.
