Samsung announces novel Pink Gold colour for Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge

Love Android phones, but envious of Rose Gold iPhones? I’ve got some good news. Samsung has announced a new colour scheme for their best-selling Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones: Pink Gold. That’s obviously lexically different to Rose Gold, but luckily the actual colour looks pretty similar.

Samsung wax lyrical about the new shade in their official blog post:

Pink Gold was chosen as it, like the other colors available for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, is a natural color that provides a sense of comfort. These hues glitter and shimmer as if illuminated from inside their glass surfaces. In particular, the refined Pink Gold color scheme is intended to soothe and incorporate a touch of gentleness, radiance and sophistication to the smartphones’ design.

Right on, Samsung.

The new colour debuts in South Korea today, and will be made available ‘in select markets’ soon. Presumably that includes the UK, although we’ve yet to receive official confirmation on that front; we’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can pick up a pink case for your Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge — take a look:
