Going hands-on with the first iPhone SE cases

Apple’s ‘Loop’ event is still three days away, but we’ve managed to find some new evidence of the presumptive star of the show, the iPhone SE. This four-inch iPhone is thought to include the internals of the iPhone 6S, finally offering an up-to-date alternative for those that don’t want a 4.7-inch or 5.5-inch iPhone. We’ve just received a couple of new iPhone SE cases in stock, which provides new confirmation of the phone’s dimensions and features.

The cases are the X-Doria Defense 360 and the X-Doria Bump Gear Plus. The Defense 360 is a clear case that provides complete front, back and side protection, while the Bump Gear Plus is a machined aluminium case with a rubber interior for excellent protection.

We’ve gone hands-on with the new cases, which you can in the video below. You can see that the cases fit perfectly on the iPhone 5S, indicating that the two phones have exactly the same (or nearly exactly the same) dimensions. The phone’s ports and features also seem to be unchanged, although the camera may be slightly larger.

The X-Doria Bump Gear Plus is available for purchase now, with champagne gold, silver, rose gold and space grey options available to perfectly match the iPhone SE itself. The X-Doria Defense 360 is also available now, in its characteristic transparent look. Find more information on each case or place an order via the links below.

They both look like strong options for the iPhone SE, and they’re none too expensive either at £25 for the Bump Gear Plus and £20 for the Defense 360.

Thanks for checking out the video, and let us know what you think in the comments below! You’ll be able to see many more iPhone SE cases from us once the device is officially announced on March 21st. Thanks again, and enjoy your weekend!
