5. LUVVITT Clear Grip Tough Case
First up is the LUVVIT Clear Grip Case. This case is a nice option for the iPad Pro because it adds a lot of protection without sacrificing the iconic Apple look. The clear plastic case includes raised bezels to protect the screen and military-rated drop protection thanks to armoured corners and sides. If you’d like to keep your iPhone caseless but don’t want to suffer a costly repair, this is the perfect solution. This case is a great choice for the iPad Pro, and a fitting place to begin our top five.
4. Official Apple iPad Pro Smart Cover
The Official Apple Smart Cover is another fine option. While it is expensive, the case does match Apple’s style perfectly, as you would expect. The case has a thin, minimal design, covering the screen and preventing scratches without adding significant bulk or weight. The case also includes automatic sleep / wake functionality, ensuring you never need to worry about locking or unlocking the screen again. The Smart Cover can be rolled into a triangular prism shape to serve as a stand.
3. Capdase Urbanite Collection Sleeve
The Capdase Urbanite is a beautiful brown or black leather-look sleeve for the iPad Pro. It provides complete protection while your iPad is on the move, while ensuring unfettered access once you’ve reached your destination. The case includes two quick access pockets for paper and keys, plus three exterior pockets for additional items. It’s an excellent practical iPad case, which goes far beyond protection.
2. UAG Rogue Rugged Case
The UAG Rogue is our next case. This is an excellent rugged option for the iPad Pro, adding both impact and water resistance. The case even includes an integrated holder for the Apple Pencil, solving one of the biggest practical concerns of the accessory. The case also pays attention to smaller details, including oversized buttons that are easier to press and an adjustable viewing stand that knocks Apple’s solution into a cocked hat. The case looks great too, with a bold style in red, black or blue.
1. Olixar Folding Stand Smart Case
Our winning case this time around is the Olixar Smart Case. It provides a similar design to the official Apple Smart cover, but at a fraction of the price. The Smart Case includes a similar tri-fold media stand, full screen protection and automatic sleep/wake functionality. The case even includes a transparent back panel, adding more protection than Apple’s option at the expense of some added weight. It’s a sensible tradeoff in our eyes, and goes a long way towards making this our top case choice for the iPad Pro.
