We’re proud to be the first to announce a UK price for the Microsoft Display Dock: £70. This essential accessory lets your Windows 10 handset give you the full desktop PC experience, complete with monitor, mouse and keyboard, courtesy of a new Windows 10 feature called Continuum.
Continuum is simply a way of transforming a smartphone or tablet into a PC when it’s connected to the right peripherals – write emails, work on documents and edit photos on a bigger screen with the familiar tools of a mouse and keyboard. All of your phone’s photos and documents will be at your disposal, and everything you work on will be accessible on your phone afterwards as well because it’s all the same device. Best of all, while your phone is connected you’re still free to use it as you would normally; you can respond to texts, check your email, and even carry on a Skype call.
The Display Dock includes USB-C for charging your device, USB-C output for DisplayPort (video) and two USB 2.0 ports for connecting normal USB peripherals like mice and keyboards.
The Display Dock is compatible with all Continuum-capable Windows 10 handsets, including Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Acer have also announced their own Continuum-capable handset, the Jade Primo. We’re sure this list will grow over time as well.
