The OtterBox Defender is a long-time favourite at Mobile Fun, and has been for the past five years. Its proven design is a little bulky, but provides insane protection against drops, scratches and full-on abuse. The triple-layer design includes a tempered screen protector, a polycarbonate inner layer and a silicone outer layer. There’s even a belt clip holster, if you’d prefer to keep your iPhone close at hand. All in all, it’s a great amount of protection for the price, and with glacier or black shades available your iPhone 6 or 6S will look great too.
4. Encase ArmourDillo Hybrid
If you want good protection for your iPhone but you don’t want to spend a lot of money, then the Encase ArmourDillo is a good shout. This case has an armoured exoskeleton like its animal namesake, protecting the soft iPhone inside from harm. The back portion of the ArmourDillo even includes a kickstand, which as far as I know isn’t found on real-life armadillos. The ArmourDillo is also available in three colours; another upgrade over the real deal! All jokes aside, this is a great budget case for iPhone owners that don’t want their phones to come to harm.
3. Spigen Tough Armor S
The Spigen Tough Armor S is one of my favourite cases, no doubt thanks to its fetching blue colour scheme. It’s not just a pretty face, though – this case is also surprisingly capable. The case’s advanced shock absorption technology does well to dissipate the force of unintended impacts, with a 1.5mm lip protecting the screen from taking any direct hits. The case even includes a clever kickstand function, with a slot that turns a regular credit card into the perfect portable stand. Awesome.
2. Love Mei Powerful
The Love Mei is one of the newer cases in our arsenal, but it’s already a firm favourite. This metal case provides excellent rigidity to your iPhone, and it looks great as well. Its rugged impact truss design protects your iPhone from drops and knocks, while the built-in Corning Gorilla Glass screen protector serves as an extra barrier against scratches. That latter feature is an industry first, and typifies the bleeding-edge design of the Love Mei case. It’s available in four cool colours too; I’m quite partial to the yellow option.
1. LifeProof Fre Waterproof
Our final case is the most expensive on the list, but it’s well worth the cost of admission. The LifeProof Fre is a legendary case, capable of resisting a wider range of hazards than almost any other case on the market. It resists water and dust, survives snow, coffee and drops, and yet it remains reasonably slim and trim. This military-rated case is capable of protecting your phone even in the most extreme conditions, and it’s the final word when it comes to keeping your iPhone 6 or 6S safe for the lifetime of your iPhone.
