2nd Gen Moto 360 coming soon, UK price announced

Motorola are soon to announce the next generation of their flagship smartwatch, the Moto 360. The 2nd Gen Moto 360 has already been spotted by eagle-eyed tech aficionados, and looks to sport a new design with oversized lugs and a crown button at the 2 o’clock position (instead of 3 o’clock, as with the original). We’re happy to confirm that we’ll be stocking the 2015-era Moto 360, including all three style variations. Please visit the product pages linked below, or read on for more!

The first of the three styles available is cognac leather, which is similar to the leather strap that shipped with the original 360. Combined with the new lugs, this option looks stylish and professional in either size. The leather band is carefully stitched around the pin on both sides, giving a nice bit of extra detail. This option costs £300.

The latter two styles are stainless steel options, available at a higher price but offering increased durability and a stronger look. The stainless steel is available in light and dark varieties, fairly close in shade to those offered before with the first-generation model. We’re offering the stainless steel versions at £250.

The smartwatches will run the latest version of Android Wear, 1.3. The new version includes a watch face that lets you scribble and chat with your friends and adaptive watch faces, which can display new information or launch apps directly when touched. Of course, you’ll still get access to thousands of watch faces and apps on the Play Store, the unrivaled Google Now personal assistant, and a slick notification system that shows you the latest updates from your phone.

We’re expecting the Moto 360 to be announced at the IFA trade fair in Berlin in early September, then shipments to begin almost immediately – although our stock has not yet been confirmed; please see the product pages for the latest information.

Thanks for checking out the article, and be sure to let us know what you think about the upcoming second-generation Moto 360! Any questions? Leave them below!

  1. The £300 version is the larger sized watch, we aren’t sure yet why that version isn’t being offered with the metal strap. As soon as we know more we’ll let you know

  2. It is indeed unusual, but other retailers are listing the watches with the stainless models as cheaper than the leather. We’ll check this and update prices as required :)

  3. I’m assuming £300 for the leather is a typo? Otherwise it’s more £100 more expensive than the original and also more expensive than the price you’ve listed for the stainless steel one (£250).
