Wireless charging is pretty cool and convenient, but so far Apple haven’t brought the technology to their iPhones – so accessory manufacturers have stepped in to fill the gap. Last month we showed you a standalone Qi wireless charging receiver that you could add to your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus; today we’re showing another option for those of you that want to add Qi wireless charging to your new iPhones. The new option is the Qi Charging Case, which combines a Qi charging coil with a protective iPhone case, a single piece solution. Let’s take a closer look.
The Qi Charging Case is a simple plastic case which adds good scratch protection and a bit of impact protection as well. Of course, the real magic is inside – there’s a Qi charging coil that will work with a wide range of Qi charging pads. This is joined up with a Lightning connector that can be plugged or unplugged without taking the case off. That’s quite useful if you need to charge your phone using a wired connection or connect it to your PC to sync media and apps.
