Earlier today we looked at the sim-free LG G3, and now we’re going to see some of the best cases that have been announced for the phone so far.
We begin with the Ultra Hybrid, a case that combines a clear polycarbonate back panel with a TPU bumper. The strength of this case is that you can really see the colour of your G3 in full. Given the nice colour options available here – gold, pink, purple, grey and white – that’s a nice thing to find in a case. The TPU bumper works well too, deadening impact damage and extending the life of your phone.
4. Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case
Our next LG G3 case is perennial favourite of mine and a great choice for Android fans: the Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit case. This case features a large and friendly Andy the Android mascot, sitting atop a background of circuitry. The case is otherwise quite simple, with a gel material used to provide both flexibility and protection. There are a good amount of colour options available here too, although the Android green is definitely my favourite.
3. ArmourDillo Hybrid Protective Case
The ArmourDillo Hybrid is one of the most protective cases on this list, offering impressive rigidity and impact resistance. The case also includes a kickstand in the back of the case, ideal for watching videos and playing games on the gorgeous 5.5-inch display of the LG G3.
Next up is probably my personal favourite, the Spigen Slim Armour. This case combines style, size, colour and protection into a single effective case. The Slim Armour has a nice two-tone design, and is available in a range of colours that include more unusual options like mint, blue, gold and slate. The TPU / polycarbonate hybrid design works well here too.
It’s become customary for the bigger Android manufacturers to produce at least one unique case for their new flagship phone, and for the LG G3 it’s the QuickCircle case. This case functions similarly to the Samsung S-View case, with a circular window cut into the front of the case. That window reveals the screen behind, allowing notifications to be shown and incoming calls to be answered or rejected. The circular shape of the window seems a little less well suited for notifications, but it does make analogue clocks look excellent. With the inclusion of Qi wireless charging in this case, it’s definitely deserving of a top place finish.
