The Lumia 1020 is the ultimate camera phone – a big improvement over the already excellent Lumia 920. But the Lumia 920 has one thing that the Lumia 1020 doesn’t have – the convenience of wireless charging. Thankfully, with a cheap 1020 accessory you can add wireless charging back to the Lumia 1020.
That accessory is the Nokia Original Lumia 1020 Wireless Charging Shell. It’s essentially a reinforced back panel for the phone, which clips around the camera to provide additional protection as well as that wireless charging capability.
Wireless charging works through the Qi standard, so all wireless chargers supporting that standard should work, like Nokia’s own Fatboy Pillow Charger or the Nokia Wireless Charging Plate. Of course, third party wireless chargers on the Qi standard work fine too.
As this accessory is made by Nokia, it fits the Lumia 1020 perfectly and is available in precisely the same colours as the phone itself – you’ll be able to choose from yellow, black and white. This is a good looking and functional upgrade to the Lumia 1020 that anyone with a wireless charger will appreciate.
