Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth Speaker

So now we have phones and tablets which are capable of holding thousands of songs, and with HMV on its way out the physical CD is becoming rare. So we are all thinking I don’t really need this Hi-Fi or CD player, I need a Bluetooth speaker! But we all know there is a large range out there, some large and loud and some small and portable.  I wanted to take a look at one of the most popular speakers we offer the Jawbone Jambox.

Ok so it is the most expensive speaker we have, but don’t let this put you off because it’s actually only £147 (was £159.95), which in comparison to some speakers out there is very good. The Jambox is loved by many for a number of reasons. Firstly it is fairly small and uses Bluetooth to play your music wirelessly (don’t worry it has a 3.5mm jack just in case you don’t have Bluetooth). Bluetooth speakers are great if you store your music on a tablet because no-one wants to plug their tablet into a small portable speaker, it just defeats the object. So this speaker would be a great addition to your Nexus 7 accessories. Secondly it’s the design that catches most people’s eye. It is a very high quality and stylish speaker that produces amazing sound for its size and with it only having three buttons it is very simple to use.

The Jambox is also rechargeable so you don’t have to worry about buying batteries every other day to keep it going. The speaker can be plugged into any Micro USB port to be charged and it lasts an amazing 10 hours with continuous playback, so you know it will go well with your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 accessories.

So now you know it has everything that a portable speaker needs, you want to know about the sound (the most important part for me). The Jambox produces an output capacity of 85 decibels and has a RMS Output Power of 4 Watts, which is very impressive considering its size and will fill any room with quality sound or keep you entertained while out and about. The best part is that Jawbone rubberised the edges of the speaker meaning that when you crank it up you won’t get that annoying rattle you get from some speakers when they are placed on a table or other hard surfaces.

Ok so what else can it do? If you are anything like me I hate when I am listening to music through a dock that is connected using a wire and I get a phone call. You have to unplug the phone, answer the call, re-connect the phone and then resume the music. Well the Jambox handles this too you can actually answer calls through the speaker. It will fade out the music when a call comes through, you can hear and speak to them through the Jambox, then when you hang up the music fades back in.

So I think I have given you enough reasons to why so many people love this Bluetooth speaker and if you are looking for a high end, stylish speaker that produces unrivalled sound go for the Jawbone Jambox, available at Gearzap.
