Monster Beats by Dr Dre Headphones. Which one to choose?

I’m sure you’ve all seen a pair of Beats by Dr Dre headphones around. Odds are your friends keep posting photos with theirs on Facebook, or seem to always wear them around their necks, even when they’re not connected to anything – just because they look so cool.

Fact is they’re building momentum now and might become as common place as iPods or iPhones. It’s time to get on top of the trend. But which pair is best for you? In-ear, over-ear? With ControlTalk, without ControlTalk? We sell a wide range of the Monster Beats by Dr Dre headphones and here’s our attempt to help you choose the best one for you.

Rest assured, there’s a pair for everyone. If you’re a runner/jogger there is a special sports pair with ear hooks. If you like to keep a low profile, there’s a variety of in-ear headphones that don’t draw unnecessary attention. Last but by no means least, if you’re a DJ, a music producer, or simply a music aficionado, you also have a choice of over-ear, studio quality, sound emitting headphones. These are also perfect for showing off, if you know what I mean.

Let’s start by comparing the most expensive pair with the cheapest:

The Monster Beats by Dr Dre Beats Pro Professional Headphones goes for about £300 and is thus the most expensive pair of “the beats” that we sell.

This is perfect for DJs, sound engineers and musicians all round. But don’t be put off if you’re a music lover not maker. Providing one of the cleanest sounds around, “the Pro” gives you the best music listening experience around. Make sure you hear your songs the way you were meant to, that is, exactly how the musicians and sound engineers heard it in the studio.

Granted, the price for this pair is a bit steep, but it’s well worth paying. The thing even folds up for easier storage. If you feel like treating yourself, get one now! Otherwise, seeing as it will be a long time until someone even glances at your Xmas list, you might want to have a look at a cheaper pair of “beats”.

We present to you the Monster Beats by Dr Dre iBeats Headphones with ControlTalk.

Don’t be fooled by the size. Or the much lower price (they currently go for under £80 on our website). These are high performance in-ear headphones. These little beasts give out a full range sound and they’re built to be ultra lightweight yet super tough. And they do all this while also cancelling out external sounds. ‘What is ControlTalk ?’ I hear you thinking. Well, built into the cable is Monster’s ControlTalk. Let’s do away with the jargon – it’s a microphone. More so, you can use it to skip tracks or adjust the volume without having to take your phone out of your pocket. It’s like a mini, on cable, remote control for your phone’s music player. Not bad for less than £80, eh? What’s great about it is that it will let you hold handsfree phone calls on your iPhone or any other phone. You could also use it with Skype on your iPad.

PS: If this one doesn’t feel right see our other iPad headphones. Which reminds me – the iPad 3 came out today! If you’re riding the Apple wave and have already ordered one for yourself, have a look at the best iPad 3 headphones instead.

See all our Beats by Dr Dre headphones for a wider array of choices between the two extremes (most expensive and cheapest headphones in the range) we’ve presented here.

I hope this helped clear the clouds on which pair of headphones to choose. Let us know which one you chose and what you think about it in the comments section below.

  1. Looking cool with these is definitely a factor but digging deep one will find a fantastic pair of headphones. The red and black combination is eye-catchy.While on the bus or on the jogging tracks, these are to be around the ears. The sound is fascinating and noise cancellation works just fine.All-in-all these are a fine pair of music accessories for one to crave.
