Which One is right for you? A comparison of HTC’s 2012 lineup

HTC One X

Epic Performance: The HTC One X is the most powerful One of the bunch, and is one of the first quad-core Tegra 3 smartphones available. That translates into incredibly good performance – there won’t be a game or app that you won’t be able to demolish.

Beautiful Display: Everything will look insanely great on the large 4.7″ Super LCD II IPS+ screen which runs at 720p resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Expect excellent viewing angles and perfect colour reproduction too. The screen’s protected with Gorilla Glass, so it’ll stay in great condition.

Polycarbonate Unibody: The One X advances from HTC’s traditional aluminium to an advanced polycarbonate unibody, which provides good strength without the weight. The One X is available in white and dark grey colours that really have a stand-out look.

HTC One S

Stylish, Thin Design: The HTC One S is the thinnest phone HTC have ever produced, measuring just 7.9 mm thick. That’s 0.6 mm thinner than the wafer-thin Galaxy S II, so you’re really getting the business. It uses HTC’s traditional aluminium unibody construction that’s hard-wearing and very cool.

High-powered Camera: The One S comes with a brilliant camera with an 8 megapixel backlit sensor with a  f/2.0 lens. That makes for great photos when combined with the phone’s dedicated image processing chip, allowing you to take photos whilst recording 1080p video. The same camera’s on the HTC One X too.

OS Enhancements: The HTC One series all come with the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, as well as HTC’s famous Sense 4.0 UI and 25 GB of free Dropbox storage.

HTC One V

Top Value: The HTC One V is much cheaper than the One X and One S, but still represents a considerable upgrade over mid-range phones last year. With a 1 GHz processor Snapdragon S2 and a 800 x 480 screen, you’ll still be able to run almost everything in the Android Marketplace.

Tasty Ice Cream Sandwich: The One V will be one of the cheapest (and first) phones on the market with Ice Cream Sandwich, and to get it with Sense 4.0 makes it even more attractive.

Solid Construction: The HTC One V is made of high-quality aluminium, with an iconic design that hearkens back to the HTC Legend and HTC Hero with its distinctive lower lip.
