Put your smartphone on the big screen with a Bizlink MHL adapter

Have you ever wanted to use your HDTV or projector with your smartphone? If you’ve got a high-end mobile produced in the last year or so, you might be able to use a new technology called MHL to make it happen.

Essentially, you just have to connect a MHL adapter (like this one from Bizlink) to your smartphone’s micro USB port. Then, you plug in two cables to the adapter: A micro USB charger and an HDMI cable. The charger will keep your phone topped up while it’s in use (which is essential, especially if you’re playing HD movies or games) and the HDMI cable will let you plug into a TV or projector.

Once you’re jacked in, you can do all sorts of things – play HD movies at their full resolution, stream YouTube, play Angry Birds or GTA III, even given serious business style presentations to your colleagues. It’s like a super power for your phone.

MHL compatibility is a growing trend and is found in most modern high-end phones, including all of these:

  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus
  • Samsung Galaxy Note
  • Samsung Galaxy S II
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • HTC Evo 3D
  • HTC Sensation / Sensation XE
  • HTC Flyer
  • LG Optimus 2X

If you’ve got one of these phones, you should definitely give it a try. From gaming to films, you’ll be able to do more with an MHL adapter in your pocket. For more information on MHL, check out the Bizlink MHL cable product page or ask us a question via the comments section below.
