The critically acclaimed sim-free Nokia N9 has finally arrived at Mobile Fun, and ships tomorrow.
The unlocked Nokia N9, which received rave reviews from critics even as it languished under a limited commercial release, is finally available in the UK from Mobile Fun. The MeeGo-powered handset is the EU-released edition in black, but will come packaged with a UK charger to ensure that it works perfectly here.
How does the phone compare to the similar Lumia 800, which launched recently with Windows Phone?
While the two phones look quite similar, the N9 comes with more powerful hardware. Specifically, it’s got twice as much RAM (1 GB vs 0.5 GB) and a bigger screen (The N9 has a 3.9″ display at 854 x 480, while the Lumia 800 has a 3.7″ display at 800 x 480). The N9 also includes a front-facing camera that was eliminated in the Lumia 800. All in all, the N9 is definitely the superior package.
The Nokia N9 looks impressive, but its beauty is more than skin deep. It also comes packed with an impressive 8MP camera, excellent social networking integration, and a great GPS navigation system.
