The sim free HTC Evo 3D is a pretty sweet phone, with a tantalising marriage of traditional flagship smartphone strengths — big screen, fast dual core processor, the latest version of Android — with latent 3D capabilities.

Let’s have a look at some of the latest cases and other HTC Evo 3D accessories. Together. Like a family. Like we used to.

5. Case-Mate Tough Case

The Case-Mate Tough Case is a case for the working person, particularly the working person that does extreme sports, or perhaps just falls over a lot.

This HTC Evo 3D case has all of the bases covered, including shock protection, scratch protection and dust covers. You could even pair the Tough Case with an HTC Evo 3D screen protector for the ultimate protective package.

The Tough Case would score higher in our top five, but for some reason only one of the Evo 3d’s two cameras are cut out of the case, meaning you’ll be limited to recording only 2D video whilst the case is on.

The Seidio Active Case is, like the Tough Case, a case built for active smartphone owners who want a case that can take as much punishment as they can.

Unlike other, wimpier HTC Evo 3D cases, the Active Case uses a dual layer system that includes a lightwight rubber polymer core and exposed hard skeleton.

3. Noreve Tradition A Leather Case

The Noreve Tradition is a top of the line leather case, offering a simple HTC Evo 3D cover design that works well to protect your phone from scratches and small drops.

The Noreve Tradition is also easily removable from its case, making mounting the phone on a HTC Evo 3D dock or even HTC Evo 3D car holder that much easier. More expansive car holders will hold the Noreve-clad Evo 3D too, due to the case’s slim frame.

2. Otterbox Defender

If you’ve just picked up a flagship mobile phone, you don’t want to lose it to injury. The Otterbox Defender is perhaps the best way to ensure that won’t happen.

The case comes with a clear protective membrane to protect the screen and a high impact polycarbonate shell wrapped in a durable silicone shell. Not bad.

As you’d expect, the Otterbox Defender comes with all of the cutouts you’d need, so you can easily plug in an HTC Evo 3D charger without having to take the phone out of the case.

As the name would suggest, the Seidio Innocase II is one of the most innovative HTC Evo 3D covers I’ve seen, combining the protective qualities of the Seidio Active Case (minus the exposed skeleton) with a useful kickstand, for watching (3D!) films on your phone.

It’s an excellent design and really succeeds as a jack-of-all trades case that’ll attract anyone: It’s slim, protective and capable.
