Got a new Sony Xperia Z5 or Z5 Compact? You probably need a case.

The Verge recently published their review of Sony’s latest flagship phones: the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. The review is broadly positive, but reviewer Vlad Savov does mention one big weakness: the glass back of the phone. It sure looks nice, but it’s also easily scratched or cracked; he ended up with a long crack not by dropping it from a great height, but just “an incautious plopping of the phone on my bedside table.”

Verus High Pro Shield: confirmed Nexus 6P laser focus compatible

Almost every flagship smartphone these days is well known before it’s announced, thanks to the myriad leaks and rumours that accompany each new release. The Nexus 6P is no exception, with plenty of photos, renders and diagrams showing precisely how the phone would look. Unfortunately, this time around one important detail was missed: a laser autofocus system, sitting right next to the LED flash and the camera itself. Cases made before the official announcement didn’t leave a space for the laser focus, which at best means you miss out on one of the phone’s best features… and at worst it could render the camera wholly inoperable.
