The Pixel and Pixel XL aren’t the prettiest smartphones in the world, but they should still prove popular thanks to their long battery life, incredible performance and unique software. If you’re picking one up, make sure to extend its lifetime with a tempered glass screen protector. If you don’t, you run the risk of a costly (and difficult!) repair job.

We’ve recently gotten in some of Spigen’s highly-rated GLAS.tR screen protectors. These are made from real tempered glass, with perfectly cut rounded edges that fit the phone perfectly. They’re treated with an oleophobic coating that resists marks and fingerprints, and an anti-shatter film that makes them very difficult to damage. With one of these on your phone, you’ll be confident that even in the event of a drop, your phone’s screen should remain unharmed… and thanks to the 0.4mm thickness of the screen protector, you’re not sacrificing the phone’s svelte frame to do so.

You may be thinking that screen protectors can be useful, but they’re annoying to install. That’s not quite true with tempered glass screen protectors; because they’re rigid, they’re way easier to install than old plastic screen protectors. As Spigen have been exacting with their cutouts, it’s very easy to line up right the first time. Plus, as it’s a tempered glass screen protector, it’ll last way longer than a plastic alternative — and in my mind at least, that makes it worth the price of admission.
