The Google Pixel and Pixel XL have been named by DxOMark as the very best smartphone cameras ever. If you’ve ordered a Pixel for yourself, then take a look at these photography accessories and see what you can do to really get the most out of your new picture powerhouse!
5. Arkon Flexi Tripod
The Pixel and Pixel XL are well-equipped in the camera department, but one thing they lack is optical image stabilisation. That can make for some shaky shots, even with the benefit of Google’s excellent algorithms. A good tripod will solve this problem though, giving you clear photos and videos even in low light situations.
4. Leef Access MicroSD Reader
This clever (and tiny!) MicroSD card reader adds removable storage to the Pixel and Pixel XL. Sure, you’re not going to have it plugged in all the time, but you can use it to quickly back up your photos and videos. You can also stick a few movies on there to watch while you’re on the way to your shoot!
3. iblazr 2 Wireless LED Flash
The iblazr is an external flash for your Pixel, letting you capture low-light portraits with much more flattering (and even) lighting than is possible from the built-in flash. The flash can be oriented forwards or backwards, and is also useful in other situations — as a powerful flashlight, for instance. It’s wireless too, so you can fit it wherever you like on your Pixel.
2. Floating Selfie Stick with Bluetooth Remote
You’ve seen selfie sticks before, but you’ve never seen a selfie stick like this. The DiCaPac is a floating, waterproof selfie stick that’s perfect for using near water. It collapses down to a small size, provides a stable platform for shooting selfies, and it has a remote shutter operated over Bluetooth – no wires needed. Get this before you go on your next vacation!
1. Olixar Smartphone Photography Kit
Finally, we end with the mother of all photography accessories: the Olixar Photography Kit. This comes with everything you need to shoot awesome photos on your Pixel, from three clip-on lenses to a tripod and a selfie stick. There’s even a roll-up carry case for all your new goodies. (If you like, you can also get the excellent 3-in-1 lens kit separately here.)
That’s all the photography accessories we have time to cover here, but be sure to check out the full range of Pixel photography accessories here. You can also write to us in the comments below with your questions and feedback. Thanks and have a great week!
