“Give HTC a trophy of participation for making a phone that actually competes in the big leagues this year. But then give your money to somebody else, because you can get more for your dollar with an iPhone, Galaxy, or Nexus.”

“For a company that has seen some rough seas lately, I’m glad HTC has remembered how to make a great smartphone. The thing is, its competitors haven’t been lazing around; they’ve been upping their game too, and now the contest for the crown is tougher than ever.”

“The HTC 10 is not a design revolution. Even with technological and software innovations, HTC is holding back. “The HTC 10 is a good phone, with good specs and good software and good performance. Great! But there’s nothing about it that makes me want to recommend it over the iPhone.”
“It’s a hard phone to rate on first impressions – HTC has put all the right bits in here, but I felt the same way with the One M9. However, the brand seems to have addressed the foibles and appears genuinely excited by the new 10.”
“Yes, this flagship is no box of tricks. Instead, it excels in the art of the familiar, with a pristine screen, ultra-powerful processor, a faultless take on Android and an elegant yet sturdy design.”

“The HTC 10 is a refreshing phone that manages to be great without any nonsense or gimmicks. Compared to the Galaxy S7, you’re getting a better body, better software, louder speakers, more capable expandable storage, USB Type C, and (most of the time) a better camera.”

“The HTC 10 is an excellent top-end smartphone. It feels snappy, bloat free and optimised. The cameras are great, the battery life is above average and the screen is good… It’s a no-frills, top-end smartphone that gets everything more or less right. HTC has finally nailed a good all-rounder.”
