The removable battery vs non removable battery is an ongoing topic for discussion, with a number of long-standing Samsung fans still hoping the manufacturer will bring back removable battery packs.

The upside though is that the Galaxy S7 has seen a slightly improved battery – one of the major bugbears about the Galaxy S6 was its battery life – updating from a 2550mAh battery to a 3000mAh (with only a little bulk added to its size).
The Samsung Galaxy S7 can also charge from 0 to 100% in just 90 minutes when connected to a power outlet and 120 minutes when connected to a wireless charger.

The LG G5, somewhat of a dark horse, but a phone which certainly caused a stir at MWC 2016, does indeed sport a removable battery – in addition to its microSD car slot.
So definitely one to consider if you’re in the market for a new smartphone!
