Selfie light cases have been big news this week, after Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter announced her new range of light up iPhone cases named Ty-Lite, designed to provide extra lighting when taking selfies using the iPhone’s front facing camera.
Here at Mobile Fun we have a great alternative from LuMee, a company that specialises in selfie light cases. Its founder Alan Shoemake, an experienced professional photographer, came up with the invention after growing increasingly frustrated by the performance of smartphone cameras in low light settings.
The idea is pretty simple, you push a button to turn on the surprisingly powerful LED lights built into the case to illuminate yourself and the subjects around you for lighter, higher quality selfies and photographs. Perfect then for those nightclub, concert or restaurant selfies which so often appear grainy and dull (even with the brightest of Instagram filters). The cases also have a handy secondary use as a torch, which certainly saves the hassle of having to bringing up the control center to activate your iPhone’s built in flash.
The light up cases are available to order now for the iPhone 6S / 6 and the iPhone 6S Plus / 6 Plus in Black, Rose Gold and White colour variations. You can find them all below:
