Parrot is well-known for making awesome Bluetooth car systems and speakers, so it’s no surprise that they’ve turned their attention to creating the best damn wireless headphones they can. The result: the new Parrot Zik 3.

These headphones are seriously capable, thanks to their 40mm Neodymium drivers, integrated DAC and ADC, and a powerful 32-bit sound processor. This processor spatialises sound and recreates the acoustics of different listening environments. Using the Zik 3 app, you can choose between ‘Silent Room’, ‘Concert Hall’ and a couple of options in between. The Zik 3 also makes it possible to download personalised presets for individual songs, letting you experience music as the artist intended.

Of course, if you’re in a loud environment, then it can be hard to listen to really hear your music. That’s why the Zik 3 includes auto-adaptive noise canceling, capable of handling everything from the chatter of keyboards and co-workers in the office, to the rumble and bustle of public transport. You can control this effect via the app on your iPhone or Android smartphone, or even adjust settings via your Apple Watch or Android Wear device.

Of course, the Zik 3 also features built-in controls, with an intuitive touch control panel on the right ear cup. You can slide your finger horizontally to skip tracks, vertically to adjust the volume, and pause just by taking off the headset. It’s a clever, capable input system that feels natural. You can also use voice recognition to initiate a call, hear an incoming caller’s name using text-to-speech, and make calls comfortably over the Bluetooth connection.

The Zik 3’s tagline is ‘wireless everything’, and that’s not inaccurate. The Zik 3 offer fully wireless Bluetooth operation, connecting easily to your smartphone, tablet or laptop. For devices with NFC, the Zik 3 offers one touch pairing. The Zik 3 also offers USB audio, allowing high-definition connection to laptops or desktop PCs, as well as a traditional 3.5mm wired connection.

How about battery life? The Zik 3’s built-in 830mAh Li-Ion battery lasts for 18 hours in flight mode, or 7 hours in eco mode, and recharges in less than an hour.

The Zik 3 is a top-notch premium headset for music and calls, and it’s available for pre-order now from Mobile Fun. To see more information, including the UK price, please visit the product page linked below:
