We’re happy to announce the first UK prices for Samsung’s latest smartphones: the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7.
The new phones combine reasonable internal hardware with a respectable glass and metal design and even some premium features — like a fingerprint reader and optical image stabilisation for the rear camera. If you’re looking for a representative Samsung Galaxy experience without paying full price for a Note or an S, then this is a great choice. The A-series handsets proved popular last year, so it’s no surprise to see new versions for 2016.
Samsung Galaxy A3: UK SIM-free price
The 4.7-inch Galaxy A3 is the first option, with a UK price of £269. It comes with a 720p display and Android 5.1 Lollipop. Inside, you’ll find a quad-core Snapdragon 410 CPU backed with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. In terms of imaging, there’s a 5MP front-facer and a 13MP rear camera.
Samsung Galaxy A5: UK SIM-free price
Next up is the Galaxy A5, which will cost £319 in the UK. For the extra fifty quid, you get a larger 5.2-inch screen at a higher resolution, 1080p. You also get upgraded internals, in the shape of an octa-core CPU running at 1.6GHz and 2GB of RAM.
Samsung Galaxy A7: UK SIM-free price
The biggest member of the trio is the Galaxy A7, which has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and 3GB of RAM. It’ll cost £399 in the UK, making it the most premium of the bunch — but still notably cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S7.
