Release date: November 2015
Summary: HTC have released the A9, a mid to high-end smartphone as opposed to a flagship device. It looks a lot like an iPhone 6S, but how has it been received by the experts? It seems the verdicts are mixed.
Reviewers are pretty unanimous in praising the phone’s design, while the camera stands up well to the usual rigorous testing. The arrival of Android Marshmallow 6.0 is also a welcome one.
What seems to ultimately let the One A9 down is the price. Many believe that HTC’s pricing aims to place the phone among the high-end flagship end of the market, where the device simply can’t compete. Still, it seems it’s a solid phone and one that may become even more appealing if and when the price starts to fall.
