Sony’s just finished unveiling its latest smartphones at IFA Berlin, and now it’s our turn to show you their official accessories. Today, we’ll be looking at our first case for the Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact; the Xperia Z5 Premium will come later. Let’s get started!
The case is called the Style-Up case, and it’s a premium option costing just under £40 for both phones. The Style-Up is a flip case with a helpful smart window in its cover, letting you access your phone without opening the case each time. The smart window allows you to see selected widgets, incoming text messages and other notifications. You can even control your music and answer calls, while your Xperia Z5 or Z5 Compact remains completely safe and protected.
The Style-Up case connects to your phone, letting you instantly download dedicated widgets and apps for the accessory. This lets you choose what will appear there, a big step over other windowed flip covers that we’ve seen that offer no such controls.
The bi-fold case is made from high-quality synthetic materials, ensuring your Xperia smartphone is well protected against scratches and drops. This ensures your phone will stand up to daily wear and tear without becoming scuffed or dented, allowing it to better retain its value and appearance.
The case is also incredibly lightweight, thanks to its slim dimensions and clever design. This is not a case that you’ll have to cram into your pocket; it’ll feel a natural addition to the phone itself.
