The FlexiShield is our first third-party case for the 2015 Moto G. It boasts a flexible and grippy design that’s easy to install, and quickly provides all-around protection for the phone. The gel material is a good halfway house between silicone and hard plastics like TPU, with a soft in-hand feeling and good absorptive properties. The material is also cheap to manufacture, allowing us to offer the FlexiShield at a very attractive low price.
The case covers the back and sides of the phone, while leaving the metal rear section of the phone fully accessible. This means your photos will be unaffected by the addition of the case, letting the 13-megapixel camera and two-tone flash work their magic. It also means you can rest your finger in the Motorola dimple, making it easier to balance the phone in one hand.
The FlexiShield cases provide good scratch protection and limited drop protection too, although you’ll likely want a thicker case or one made of more advanced materials if you’re likely to give your phone a battering.
There are four colour options available for the FlexiShield case for the Moto G, 3rd Gen. These are Black, Frost White, Purple and Blue. Taking into account the different colours for the front and back of the phone that are available via the Moto Maker web app, you’ll be able to make up even more different combinations of looks and styles with these four shades.
