The Galaxy Tab A was announced last week; the latest tablet in a long line from Samsung. So far Samsung has only announced plans to release the tablet in the United States, its native market of South Korea and nearby island nation Taiwan, but it seems likely that the new line will see a global release later this year. In the launch countries, the Galaxy A should hit stores in early May.
We’ll be supporting the Galaxy Tab A with our usual range of cases and accessories, including some rather awesome Tab A cases from Samsung themselves. The official Book Cover offers protection and style, with front-and-back coverage and a tough polycarbonate construction. The case’s front cover can transform into a multi-level stand as needed, which should be great for keeping an eye on notifications, playing games or use as a bedside alarm clock radio.
As this is an official accessory, you should expect an absolutely perfect fit and a high level of quality throughout. It’s probably worth noting here that this particular case is built for the 9.7-inch version of the slate.
The case is available in a range of colours, as you might expect having seen Samsung’s proclivity for rapidly updating their design goals. I count five flavours: smokey titanium, orange, blue, black and white. Sadly, there are no pictures to accompany these products, so we’ll just have to use our imagination.
Speaking of official accessories, we have one more to show to you – the official S Pen Stylus! If you like drawing or taking notes, then you’ll definitely want to make use of the tight S Pen integration. If you haven’t seen the S Pen before, it’s essentially a super-stylus: very accurate, depth sensitive, and with buttons for activating certain features on the tablet.
