Hands-on with new Galaxy S6 cases reveal design changes

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is coming soon. It hasn’t yet been announced – that’ll come in early March at MWC – but already we’ve seen quite a few Galaxy S6 cases from various manufacturers that shed some light on the phone inside. Today, we’re happy to announce that we’ve received our very first Galaxy S6 cases in the flesh, the Encase FlexiShield, and it too is quite illuminating.

These cases offer good protection and minimal bulk at a low price. The flexible gel material is easy to install and also provides a lot of grip. These cases are also usually available in a good range of colours; for the Galaxy S6 we’ve begun with options for white, black, light blue and purple.

The Encase FlexiShield Gel Case in Light Blue is the first variant to actually arrive. You can see our hands-on photos below.

Mike from our products team has the scoop:

“The S6 appears to have lost its waterproof rating, with no cover which was seen on the S5. Also, the headphone port has shifted to the middle of the top of the phone and the volume buttons are now two separate buttons instead of a single rocker.”

Thanks for checking out the article, and stay tuned for many more Galaxy S6 accessories in the days and weeks to come!
