HTC Desire 320 coming to the UK

HTC’s newly announced Desire 320 smartphone will be coming to the UK, according to the Taiwanese company. The phone is an upgrade to last year’s Desire 310, which received good to middling reviews upon its release, mostly due to the strength of the competing Motorola Moto G.

The new phone looks like a solid low-end phone, with a quad-core 1.3GHz Mediatek processor, a 4.5-inch 480p display, 8GB of internal storage plus microSD storage. In terms of imaging, we’re looking at a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a nominal less-than-1-megapixel camera up front. LTE networks will be out of reach, but 2G and 3G connectivity should be fine, plus Wi-Fi N, GPS and FM radio. The 2100 mAh battery should provide up to 12 hours of talk time.

The phone will run Android 4.4 KitKat, with HTC’s SenseUI. Additions include Blinkfeed, a news and social media hub, and Video Highlights, which automatically creates small movies given photos, videos and a backing track.

The Desire 320 will be available in white and gray. The price should be low too; in Germany the phone will be sold for €150 (which translates to about £117). Specific UK pricing and availability is expected to be announced in the near future. Here at Mobile Fun, we’ll sell the phone sim-free and support the handset with a full range of Desire 320 cases and accessories!
