Avier MHL 3.0 adapter lets you push 4K video from your phone to your TV

The Aveier MHL 3.0 adapter is sadly no longer available at Mobile Fun, but we do have several alternatives in our MHL adapters category. If you have any questions at all, please leave them as comments on this blog or talk to us on Twitter or Facebook. Thanks for your understanding!

Last year we wrote about MHL 3.0, the new mobile standard for charging your phone while sending up to 4K video to your TV, monitor or projector. Today, we’re happy to announce that the very first MHL 3.0 adapter is available for pre-order: the Avier MHL 3.0 microUSB to HDMI adapter.

The new adapter provides access to full 4K resolutions – up to 3840 by 2160 – at 30 frames per second. The audio side of things has also been upgraded, with new support for 7.1 Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD 7.1 surround sound. Finally, you’re looking at up to 10W (~2A) of power output, allowing even tablets and high-end smartphones to be charged at full speed.

The new MHL adapter is compatible with a wide range of smartphones and tablets already – see the compatibility tab on the product page to see which devices are included in that list. MHL 3.0 adapters will also be fully backwards compatible with MHL 1.0 and 2.0 devices, so you’ll be covered there too.

The Avier MHL 3.0 adapter works the same as its predecessors – just plug in your phone or tablet via microUSB, then run an HDMI lead to your TV and a microUSB to USB cable to your PC or wall adapter for power. It’s dead simple. Once connected, your screen will be shown on your TV, letting you put on videos, play games and pretty much anything else that you can imagine.
