Fight #bendgate with our case giveaway, rolling pin & explanation video

News broke this week that the iPhone 6 Plus can be bent very easily. At the face of it that’s not too surprising, but some users were reporting that their 6 Plus was being bent just from being in their front pockets! It looks like the longer but thinner design of the 6 Plus is much easier to bend than earlier iPhones and even other smartphones at the same size. In what is being called #bendgate, many users are reporting similar problems.

Thankfully, #bendgate is easy to prevent – and you can still keep your iPhone 6 Plus in your trouser pocket. Simply adding a case will increase the structure’s rigidity, preventing gradual bending and keeping your iPhone 6 Plus in good shape. We don’t want to see people bend their phones, so we’re actually giving away 1,000 Case-Mate Tough Slim cases for the iPhone 6 Plus over the next couple days – just enter your email here and you’ll be in with a shot of winning one.

This handy rolling pin is just what you need to repair your newly curved iPhone 6 Plus. Just place your iPhone 6 Plus on a desk, use the rolling pin a few times, and your iPhone will be completely fixed* and good as new. (*note: this will not actually work. Please do not attempt. Photo shows trained rolling pin on closed course. May be useful for making pies.)
