That’s definitely true with the new covers for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, which look beautiful. Like the tablets themselves, each case looks slim, with a subtle gridmark texture and in a cool colour. Let’s break it down. There are two Galaxy Tab S sizes, each with their own fitting cases. Each model has two designs, the Book Cover and the Simple Cover. Each design comes in four colours: dazzling white, charcoal black, glam red and electric blue. That makes sixteen configurations in all, so there’s plenty of choice!
The Official Book Cover is the high-end model, offering comprehensive protection and an integrated multi-level stand. The cover is manufactured using a tough, impact-resistant polycarbonate material that provides lasting durability. Scratches are completely prevented here, with a design that spans both front and back thanks to the folding, flipping front cover. Minor drops shouldn’t worry you either, thanks to that comprehensive coverage.
The multi-level stand sets the Official Book Cover from the Simple Cover. With it, you’ll be able to use your Galaxy Tab S in landscape mode at one of two positions. There’s a high-angle position that is ideal for watching movies or playing games, plus a low-angle position which is better suited to typing.
The Simple Cover is the mid-range option, costing a little less and lacking the multi-level stand. What you lose in functionality though, you gain in shape – the Simple Cover is lighter than its counterpart, with less coverage on the back. That makes for barely any bulk that using the Galaxy Tab S naked, but you gain that important screen protection.
