We added a trio of HTC sim-free phones to Mobile Fun this week: the low-end HTC Desire 310, the mid-range Desire 610 and the high-end Desire 816. Let’s take a good look at these cool new phones from HTC!
SIM Free HTC Desire 310 – Blue
The Desire 310 challenges the Moto G and other low-end phones, with a simple yet beautiful design, reasonable hardware and HTC’s Sense customisations atop Android Jelly Bean. The 310 includes a 4.5″ 480p screen, a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera. That makes for a fluid and capable phone, and 4 GB of on-board storage space is ably augmented via microSD cards. The Desire 310 is available right now from Mobile Fun in blue.
SIM Free HTC Desire 610 – Blue
The Desire 610 is our mid-range option, offering a larger 4.7″ qHD (540 x 960) display and improved internals. These include a faster Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 8 GB of internal storage plus microSD and an 8 megapixel rear camera. These specs are equivalent to flagship phones from early 2012, so performance is quite good. The Desire 610 is coming soon to Mobile Fun, again in blue.
SIM Free HTC Desire 816 – Black
The Desire 816 is our upper mid-range option, with a phablet-sized 5.5″ 720p screen that looks gorgeous. Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage plus microSD card slot that provides good enough performance. A 13 megapixel rear-facing camera equals that of the recently announced One E8, and Android 4.4.2 on-board is the latest version of Android. All in all, the Desire 816 looks like a strong budget phablet.
