Wireless charging dock for the Nexus 7 2 coming soon

The Nexus 7 has a lot of advantages over its predecessor – a higher resolution screen, a faster processor, better storage – but it also includes one big new feature: wireless charging!

In order to best put that feature to use, we’re bringing a new wireless charger to the market that’s specifically designed for use with the Nexus 7. That means you’ll get a perfectly sized upright wireless charger, allowing you to use your Nexus 7 in portrait or landscape mode while keeping it fully charged. That’s perfect for playing games, watching videos or just keeping an eye on incoming notifications.

The stand looks fantastic too, with sculpted curves providing an appropriate monument for the tablet mounted on top. The dock also keeps all ports and features easily accessible. As this is a wireless charger, the micro USB port remains free, allowing for connection to a computer or use as a USB OTG port (so you can connect a keyboard, mouse, game controller or USB drive).

This wireless charger supports the Qi standard, so it should also work with other Qi-enabled products – including the Nexus 4, certain Nokia Lumia models, and Galaxy phones with Qi charging accessories. Of course, the dock is designed for the Nexus 7 so these products may not fit perfectly into the dock – but you could potentially still charge them in a pinch.

The Nexus 7 is a top notch tablet, and it deserves a top notch wireless charger to go with it and we think we can provide just that with the Wireless Charging Dock.

  1. It looks great, I want one. When is it going to be out? Need immediately, shouldn’t have to wait weeks or months for accessories for major new products.
